Goood morning! I am in a wonderful mood today. Why you ask? Wow, I'm insulted, can't I be in a good mood? Kidding! I'm happy because last night, I watched the best movie ever. The minute it finished, I said three things: wow that was the best movie ever, that movie is now one of my favorites, and, I have to write a blog post about this. So now, I give you my list of the greatest movies...ever.
My favorite types of movies are comedies and super sad movies, there's no in between. The one kind of movie I cannot stand is a horror movie. My scare tolerance is lower than zero. I am not joking. I watched the trailer for IT and I couldn't sleep for a week.
The best movies ever, from bitter to sweet
Since I have already mentioned it, I guess I'll start with the movie from last night. About Time was amazing. It was so perfectly made and completely devastating. The love story is wonderful but you will soon find out that it's not your classic boy meets girl.
Okay now let's go for a funny one. Hmm. Oh! Spy is so funny. I have watched it probably four times and I laugh harder every time. It is the funniest movie I have ever seen, as most Melissa McCarthy movies are.
Here it comes. The stereotypical "America's favorite," The Notebook. I watched this for the first time a few weeks ago. You can ask my friend Sidney, but I cried so much. I think I might have actually run out of tears. It was so sad. In fact, Rachel McAdams, the main character, is also the girl from About Time.
The Other Guys is my mom's all time favorite comedy. It's pretty funny. No, it's actually extremely funny. The jokes don't make sense unless you watch it but I can leave you with this: I'm a peacock, you've got to let me fly!
Alright, I know I said that there's no in between, but there is one exception. Knives Out is a murder mystery with so many plot twists it's hard to keep up. Every detail is so well thought out and connected that you will never see the ending coming. When I say this is a good movie, I mean it's a really, really good movie.
Oh my gosh. Okay this movie is the perfect end to my list. Get this, a Will Ferrell movie that isn't funny. I know what you're thinking, but not to worry, it's great. The story line is beautiful and it is as bittersweet as you can get. This, like every thing else on the list is a must watch. Oh right, ha! I completely forgot to tell you the name. It's called Stranger than Fiction.
These movies are my favorites. I could watch them a thousand times over. My family and I have cut out tons of movie names and put them in a bowl. Each night, we pick one out and watch it!
