Call Me By Your Name is now one of my all time favorite movies. I think Sophie and I might be in agreement of that fact, if you take a look you'll notice that we both rated it five out of five stars.
WARNING: This reveals key points in the movies, a.k.a there are tons of spoilers.

Where do I even start describing this film? I guess to sum it up in words, which is proven extremely difficult for me, this film was absolutely incredible. I have never been so moved by such a breathtaking film. The pure artistry and beauty that this film holds is simply gorgeous. Each scene is a new work of art, from the rolling hills of Northern Italy to the unimaginable beauty of the apricot trees ever so carefully placed among Italy’s setting. Writing this is difficult, this movie can only be described to a person if they watch it. Some specific scenes that this movie holds are so breathtakingly gorgeous that I am struggling to find words that describe it all. And besides the cinematography and artistry of this film, the storytelling and characters were amazing. The love story between Elio and Oliver is one of beauty. The soundtrack to this movie makes it ever so special and adds a whole other layer to its beauty. This film did everything right to turn it into such a great film that I’m sure to watch many times after. From the time frame, costumes, elegance, tone, music, story, scenes, this film is truly a work of art.

This is not a movie. This is a painting. The love between Elio and Oliver is so...indescribable, yet I continue to be brought back to the set. The Italian landscape, the wardrobe, town and Elio’s house are so simplistic and in that way provide a canvas for the complexity of the story and characters themselves to be spread upon. Throughout we experience countless symbolistic moments. One being the apricot, a forbidden fruit of which Elio picks. One more factor in this piece of art was the music. It perfectly tied together, well, everything. I cherished each moment so greatly, there was no other choice. When you are staring at something so beautiful, so simple and yet complicated, wrapped in an air of notes, the only option is to absorb. Absorb the beauty for as Elio’s father explained, it is just as curious as the pain.
Thanks a ton for reading the third edition of this series. Have an awesome time today and get ready for some exciting new posts.
