My Favorite Songs of All Time

Music is art for the ears and IT ROCKS. If I'm being honest, I listen to most of my music when I'm in the shower. Anyways...here are the best songs in the world.

My favorite genres of music are definitely 70s, 80s, and chill songs. Best artists? Hmm... Billie Eilish, The Beatles, anddd oh never mind this would be an essay if I wrote them all.

Well, shake it up, baby, now (Shake it up, baby)” -The Beatles

10 Terrific Tunes (not ranked)

Let's start with a song that literally made me cry when Billie Eilish sang it in concert. everything i wanted is freaking insane. She wrote it about her brother, it's totally depressing, but if you listen to the lyrics, you realize that something pulls her out of the sadness- her brother.

Okay, next has got to be Brandy (You're a Fine Girl) this song is so groovy and will get you dancing in the mirror about 5 seconds after you start listening to it.

American Pie by Don McLean is obviously an amazing song, but it's one of my favorites for a specific reason. I remember this one time when my friend Sidney and I were little, and we were sitting in her Grandpa's car listening to this song and eating cough drops (he really likes them). This memory just makes me smile so much.

Ah! Yes! I'm scrolling through my playlist right now, and I just saw this song, which is SO GOOD. Okay, it's a little weird. It's kind of a mashup that's not a mashup. You have to listen to it and see for yourself but I absolutely love it. It's called A First Date by Biskwiq; I think the artist's name pretty much sums up the weirdness.

Imagine by John Lennon is a song that will get you thinking if you pay attention to the lyrics. If you've never heard it before, you should listen to it, and I mean really listen to it.

My mom grew up on a little island in the Caribbean called St. Croix, so naturally, my earliest memories have the song Three Little Birds running on a loop in the background. Bob Marley is the definition of summer in Miami for me and everyone who has come to my house during June, July and August.

Chasing Pavements by Adele would be number one if I made a "cry it out" mixtape. My favorite part of the song is when she stops whispering and sings the chorus in this really powerful voice. It shows that you can use your darkest moments to build you up. The perfect word to describe it would be powersad, a mix-up of powerful and very, very sad.

I'm always stuck between Pop and Rock, probably why my favorite radio station is called Pop Rocks. When I'm not in the car, I immediately play 505 by Arctic Monkeys. It is more rock than pop but it does have a modern touch to it.

I know I've already mentioned Billie Eilish twice in this post, but I can't help myself. It's my strange addiction. Yes, that's the name of the song. She made it about her favorite show The Office which I think she said she has watched 13 times. It has snippets of dialogue from the show which makes it really funny but it's also a crazy good song. It's my favorite one of her songs, tied with everything i wanted.

Last one! I know I said these weren't ranked, but I still feel like this one has to be really good. Come Fly With Me by Frank Sinatra is going to be the song I play for the daddy-daughter dance at my wedding. My mom made a video of my dad and me when I was super tiny and it's the cutest thing on Earth. After that, this became our song. Whenever it comes on in the car, which is rare, my dad and I look at each other and telepathically say to each other, "hey, it's our song."
