Five Places You Can't Miss in Miami: Food Edition

Miami is a giant melting pot of cultures from around the world. Each one adds their touch to the city, some of those being food. There are five hidden places to eat in Miami that will steal your heart, your stomach, and beg you to stay forever.

Breakfast at Brewing Buddha

"It's amazing food with great recipes that just happens to be Indian."

Number one: Ghee Indian Kitchen

Ghee is the first place I take people when they come to visit Miami. It's delicious with a lot of variety. If you're someone who hates Indian food, you still have to try it. My friend Sidney would not go for the longest time because it was Indian. She was recently forced to go for one of our friend's birthdays and has loved it ever since. Miami is definitely the place to try new things, and Ghee is the perfect place to start.

Number Two: Babe's Meat and Counter

Babe's is everything you could ever want in a trendy sandwich shop. The owners Mel & Jason have created something that I just can't seem to break away from. My favorite thing on the menu is their BLT and poutine fries, a Canadian dish with fries, gravy, and cheese curds.

Number Three: The Pinecrest Farmer's Market

This Farmer's market pretty much sums up the diversity of Miami. I try to go every Sunday, and when I do, I go straight to LNB Grovestand. Not only do they make the best and most unique smoothies on Earth, but they also have an awesome newsletter. Aside from their smoothies, they sell turmeric shots that boost your immune system and keep you healthy.

Number Four: Brewing Buddha

I've only been to this place once, but I guess you could say it was love at first bite. Brewing Buddha is not only super cute, but it is so yummy. Their teas were refreshing, their waffles crisp and fluffy, and their avocado toasts unique.

Number Five: The French Bakery

Almost every Saturday morning, my dad drives over to the French Bakery and picks up our regular: one chocolate croissant, an orange juice, and sometimes a quiche. This bakery is the perfect way to wake up during the weekend.

With all the craziness going on right now, you can't actually go to any of these places. I do know that Ghee is doing take out and LNB Grovestand has a drive-by smoothie and turmeric pick up happening on Sundays. If you don't feel safe leaving your house, I totally understand but once this is over you have got to try some of these spots.
