Hi there! Right now, you're probably stuck at home, bored out of your mind. That might just be me. Well, I have the perfect solution! D.I.Y.'s are always a fun thing to do, especially when their results are useful. Today I present to you, the one, the only...tutorial on turning an egg carton into a jewelry box!
Step one: Get Your Materials
This project only requires four things all of which you probably already own. Number one: a seagull. Just kidding, you don't need that.
Egg carton
Scissors
Paint
Paint brush
Step two: Cut off excess parts
I only cut off the bigger section, I think the smaller flap is a cute part to write something on.
Step three: Paint Paint Paint!
For this part I used acrylic paint in the color lilac. Try to pick the color based on where this is going to go and what jewelry you might put in it. Side note, I had to use three different brushes: a big one for most of the carton, a medium one for the harder to reach areas, and a little one for tiny spots. If you only want to use one, go for the medium size.
Step four: Add Your Jewelry
This is definitely the funnest part. It's pretty self explanatory but the top part of the pyramids are nice for rings and hoop earrings, the bottoms parts are for bracelets and necklaces, and the egg holders can be for small earrings.
