Craft Nights: String Bracelet

Hello! This Craft Night is definitely easier than last night's, but it's the same amount of fun. Speaking of last night's craft...if you read it, you know that my mask had a lot of problems, one of them being that it was too big. Good news! I tried making it again this morning and everything worked out perfectly. Here is my new, perfectly fitting mask.

The Craft: String Bracelet

String bracelets are not only fun to make but they are also easy and quick (once you get the hang of it). I learned how to make this easy design last summer. My friends and I were tying them up practically the entire time.

Get your materials

  1. Colored string

  2. Scissors

Make the bracelet- each number coordinates with each picture

  1. Pick out four (or more) colors of string

  2. Cut the strands to equal lengths and tie a slip knot, place the loop over a drawer knob or tape it down

  3. Place the first string, over the second to form what looks like a 4

  4. Loop the first string around the second

  5. Pull up, you have your first knot. Do it again on the same spot so that you have two knots

  6. Do this on all of the other strings

  7. Continue for each color string, a pattern should be forming

  8. Keep going until you have enough to fit around your wrist, then tie it off and cut the excess

You're all done!

Yay! Now we all have new bracelets. I like these because they are super pretty and because you can wear them until they fall off. When they break, you can have a bracelet funeral. Whaaaaaaat. I didn't just say that. You're imagining things.

Here is my finished bracelet, modeled by a ghost

Notes:

  1. The first time I made this bracelet, I messed up a ton of times and it took me a while to understand it. If you are confused on how to do it, contact me down below and I can help you out. Here's a video in case you need a more detailed tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTZ58HliYLs

I hope that you liked this edition to the series. I would love to see the bracelets you guys make! Send me a picture down below and I will feature it in my next Craft Nights post. Have a great rest of your day and stay safe.
