A Teenage Prophecy

Everyone goes through a punk rock phase in their life. It's just part of the process. For some, it's dying their hair pink and for others it's wearing way too much eyeliner. As for me, I've taken it pretty literally.

Arctic Monkeys

Arctic Monkeys isn't a band, it's a group of geniuses. They have this one song called "505" and ITS INSANE. It starts out kind of mellow and leading up to the beat drop they have around five fake outs. What I mean by a fake out is when you think there's a drop and then...nothing. To most people this seems irritating, in my opinion, it's awesome.

You may know them from their popular song: "Do I Wanna Know?"

The Frights

The Arctic Monkeys may be good, but they are not The Frights. Let me paint you a picture: Me, in my room, listening to a loud song, jumping around like an idiot and nearly cracking my head open on the floor. It takes some hardcore tunes for that to happen.

If you decide to check them out I would recommend listening to these songs:

  • You Are Going To Hate This (my favorite one)

  • Kids

  • Puppy Knuckles

  • All I Need

Not for Everyone

I think that you'll either love or hate this music. A few days ago, I was on a road trip with my best friend and started playing it. She didn't exactly love it...

This blog was written while the writer listened to the music described. She would advise that, if possible, you read it the same way. Have a rockin day.
