A Mother's Day To Remember

I did something very different for this post. If you are subscribed to my blog, you know what I'm talking about. I sent a survey to my subscribers and they got to choose what this post is about! Write your contact info down below if you want to be a part of my next survey.

My beautiful mom

Okay, I know your probably busy now trying to find some last minute Mother's Day gifts but you should take a break and read this because it could help you a lot. I am giving you five great ways to celebrate Mother's Day during a pandemic.

Number One- Have a Picnic

All you need is a picnic blanket some snacks and definitely lemonade. This can easily be set up in anyone's back yard or even living room. Don't forget strawberries. You must have strawberries.

Number Two- Take Her To a Restaurant

NOOO! Not a real restaurant! You should set up your dining room to be just like a restaurant. Get the other members of your family to help out. You'll need one waiter or waitress, a bartender and a chef. Make sure all of her favorite foods are on the menu and don't forget the fancy music.

Number Three- Long Distance

This one is for anyone who can't be with their mom right now because of the pandemic. Don't cry, it's okay because you can still make it great. Surprise your mom with a group facetime, google meet, or zoom. Then take her on a quarantine date night. First stop is food: cook and eat your dinner together. Next is a movie, if you use zoom you can share your screen and both watch a movie at the same time. Last is gifts. Oh ya, side note: you should have sent her gift a long time ago so if you didn't do that this will be a total bust. Just kiddingggg. No not really I mean c'mon step it up man.

Number Four- Work It Out

If your mom is one of those all-star workout moms this is the option for you. Find out what she usually does (zumba, pilates, cycling, etc.) and create a class for her. Set everything up in a gym type way and play the workout video of your choice on your TV. It's is a perfect bonding experience mi amour!

Number Five- Scavenger Hunt

Okay this does not apply to everyone. I repeat: Not for everyone. There are two types of people, the ones who like to open their present a month before the occasion and those who unwrap it slower than a sloth. If your mom is someone who likes to savor each moment then this is perfect. Set up little clues around your house, each one should be attached to a little gift. The clues will lead to one big present at the end. Make sure there are enough so that the hunt lasts for more than two minutes. This is probably my favorite idea out of all of them.

Thank you very much for reading. I hope that your mom likes her gift (it is very awkward when they don't). Let me save you some time- if you find yourself tying a box to a donkey, you have done something wrong. Have an amazing day and don't forget to subscribe.
